"Why Right Choice Fitness is the Right Choice for me.
Even though several of my friends spoke highly of Karens exercise class, it took me a
while to decide I wanted to participate. I work full time and I am tired when I get home.
And there are so many other priorities. I could only see the disadvantages. Now, as I
look back, the so-called disadvantages have taken a back seat to what is really important.
What I have accomplished in Karens class has begun to heal me body, mind and soul.
I began class two nights a week in July and now it is almost Mothers Day, so Ive been
at it for about 9 months. At first I wasnt expecting much. I was just hoping to feel a
little better. But Karen made me set goals.
I have lost 20 pounds and 4 inches in my waist, gone from size XXL to a 14-16, turned
from a prediabetic blood sugar to a normal one, improved my posture, and tested out
normal on my lipid panel for the first time in years. I look and feel much better than
9 months ago. Ive made new friends in class and found encouragement from my
classmates.
I am fighting the good fight, not with sword and shield, but with yoga mat and exercize
sphere. And what are the benefits? So many! I may not be a tightrope walker, but my
balance has improved a lot. I picked up a few new moves in Zumba. This summer I get
to wear a swimming suit that doesnt look like a dress. I can actually take up some slack
in my drawstring pants. I can wear necklaces that were too tight before. And I can tie
my shoes.
One of the things I like best about Karens class is that she WATCHES you. She knows
your old injuries and your trouble areas and doesnt let you hurt yourself. She makes
up alternate exercises that help you at the level you are at. There is no pressure to show
off—just to do your best and get what you can out of the workout. And you are never too
old to start. I got all these results and I will start MediCare next year!
